This is a gorgeous necklace featuring a jade pendant carved into the shape of a Ru Yi with a bat.

The Ru Yi is a symbol of authority used by high ranking Chinese officials of ancient times. Wearing a Ruyi necklace is believed to bring authority and promotion luck to those who wish to climb the career ladder.

In traditional China, the bat is a popular auspicious symbol of good luck, prosperity and wealth because the sound for Bats in Chinese, ‘Fuk’ is similar to good fortune and happiness.
