We simply turn one of the four wheels until "abscesses" appears. We are then able to determine the blend of oils necessary to treat the condition. Our example shows that we make a formula up consisting of 2 drops of lavender, 2 drops of tea tree and 2 drops of sandalwood. The carrier oil is selected from the back of the wheel depending on your skin type (e.g., avocado oil for dry skin or olive oil for sensitive skin). The comments section indicates that the formula should be applied twice daily and the application section shows it should be made up as a compress. Alternative oils are also shown for treating an abscess, being roman chamomile, lemon, or eucalyptus essential oils. Each of the codings for the oils are shown around each wheel (e.g., VAL = valerian).
